Southsea Girls is a vibrant community of local women, from all walks of life, coming together to connect, share stories, and inspire each other through regular meet-ups and events hosted in independent venues across Southsea and Portsmouth.
We proudly hold space for women to meet and socialise, whilst also providing a platform to elevate women’s voices, so we can all work towards a better, fairer and safer future for women.
Our meet-ups
We host monthly events including coffee mornings, sip and socials, and ‘girl dinner'.’
We aim to provide an eclectic mix of meet-ups so that everyone has the opportunity to get involved in something that they are comfortable with.
We welcome new ladies to every event, which means you never need to worry about being the ‘newbie’ in the group or feeling as though friendships have already been established.
Our event hosts are on-hand to keep conversations flowing, and the vibes immaculate, so all you have to do is turn up and have fun!
Partner events
We believe the more spaces and opportunities for women to meet new people, socialise and create support networks, the better, which is why we’ve launched our Partner Events.
Here you can find women-only meet-ups from our trusted partners, including other local community groups. Events that pass the Southsea Girls vibe check, whilst providing a platform for up-and-coming groups to connect with new girlies.
The Collective
Southsea Girls started as a way to bring women together. Over the years, through the variety of events we’ve organised, we’ve also been able to shine a light on the incredible women in business across and beyond Southsea.
That's exactly why we've turned Southsea Girls into a collective with a free directory for local women in business.
It's a space to celebrate the brilliant women-run businesses in and around our community, and to make it easier for the people who already trust Southsea Girls to find you.
Whether you're just starting out or well established, if you're a woman building something you're proud of, we want to help you be seen.
