Southsea Girls is a vibrant community of local women, from all walks of life, coming together to connect, share stories, and inspire each other through regular meet-ups and events hosted in independent venues across Southsea and Portsmouth. 

We proudly hold space for women to meet and socialise, whilst also providing a platform to elevate women’s voices, so we can all work towards a better, fairer and safer future for women.

Monthly events

We host monthly events including coffee mornings, sip and socials, and ‘girl dinner'.’

We aim to provide an eclectic mix of meet-ups so that everyone has the opportunity to get involved in something that they are comfortable with.

We welcome new ladies to every event, which means you never need to worry about being the ‘newbie’ in the group or feeling as though friendships have already been established.

Our event hosts are on-hand to keep conversations flowing, and the vibes immaculate, so all you have to do is turn up and have fun!

We know it’s more important than ever to join forces and use our voices to make a tangible difference within local spaces, and wider ones.

This is why we use our platform to advocate for equality, protest against injustices, and proudly show support for the causes that reflect our values and mission statement as a community group.

We work with non-profits such as Free Flow Portsmouth, by collecting hygiene products at our events, which are then distributed by charities to help tackle period poverty, and CoppaFeel! A youth-focused breast cancer awareness charity, that we raised money for during our recent Boobie Bingo event!

We are passionate about fundraising, so please do drop us a message if you have any ideas, or a chosen charity you’d like us to consider.

Girl dinner

One of our most popular events is our ‘Girl Dinner’ - a monthly event hosted at various restaurants across Southsea and Portsmouth, giving our group the chance to try new eateries, enjoy wholesome company, all whilst supporting our local hospitality industry.

We’re delighted to be launching the ‘Girl Dinner Diary’ for the summer of 2026! Your very own journal that allows you to take notes, make ratings and collect stickers that can be redeemed for rewards at events
